World Of Warcraft Horde vs. Alliance – Which One Is Better?

It’s safe to say that World of Warcraft is the most popular game worldwide, everyone one has at least one friend that’s playing WoW right now and the game’s popularity grew even higher now that Blizzard recently launched the latest Legion expansion. In case you are thinking of joining your friends in raids and player versus player battlegrounds you will need to be careful at what choices you make right from the start because the game includes two factions Horde and Alliance, and it’s rather important which one you choose.

Horde or Alliance

The best advice we can give a new players is to ask their friends which faction they’re in because if they choose a different faction from their friends the new players will be separated and will have to battle against each other in case they meet. The two factions are represented as the never ending fight between good and evil with Alliance being the good and Horde the evil, but players should know that no faction will emerge as a winner because that would mean that the other side has to lose. Blizzard managed to make the Horde appealing towards players because Blizzard gave players the opportunity to play as either an Orc or Tauren and see that those races are not actually evil, but instead the two factions have been mislead by their leaders.

On the other hand, the Alliance is presented as being the faction that has to fight the horde in order to defend their lands and people.  But nonetheless, new players shouldn’t think of how much choosing a faction will affect them and just choose the race that suits their liking the most either being an Undead Rogue or Human Paladin. Both factions have their own starting zones but players will eventually reach neutral zones where they can meet and fight with other races.

I’ve been playing RPG’s for 40 years, most of which was on the side of humans, elves, dwarves, and gnomes.

WoW’s Horde offered me a breath of fresh air for the first time in years.

I started with an Alliance paladin. Run to SW, fell in the canal, didn’t know how to swim. Drowned and died…twice. Figured she was too heavy wearing that mail armor.

Gave up and made an Undead priest who can breathe underwater.

<– still playing (though race changed)

The horde just didn’t interest me, nothing personal to them.

My irl friends were Horde and on this server when they got me into the game around 3-4 years ago. Now it’s just me. 🙁

If it weren’t for them however, I would probably be Alliance and on Tich or Darkspear.
